Rock Climb: Index Town Wall

Spent the day Index with Mark McDuff. We were the first in the parking lot and warmed up on Great Northern Slab. I grunted my way up the 5.8 off-width to the big ledge, then climbed the 5.8 Aries corner crack, crossing over to the base of the fine 5.6 hand crack on Pisces. Mark led the hand crack and a final pitch up to the anchors above Taurus. By then there were several other parties on GN so we headed over to the Inner Wall. Mark led the twin 5.8 cracks around the corner from Toxic Shock and I finished on the final 5.9 splitter above. Got on Corner Flash (5.7 off-width) next where I misjudged my gear (we were using Mark's Wild Country Friends instead of my Camalots) and I did some hanging while I sorted things out. Mark top-roped it I repeated it on TR just so I could say I climbed it clean. ;) Finally, we hiked back to GN Slab and finished the day with a quick romp up Great Northern (5.6) - Mark led the final 5.6 thin cracks to the anchors. Good times!
