Rock Climb: Tumwater Cragging

Spent Saturday in Leavenworth with Katrina and Kurt cragging at Retardent Rock and The Special Spot. At Retardent, Kurt led Agent Orange (5.8) - he got a bit off route and tried really hard to turn it into a 10c. ;) I led Red Tide (5.10a) - had to rest twice and found an alternate (easier) way around one difficult section. Still was the hardest lead I've done this year - some sketchy clips on blank friction slab - fun! Wound up the day around the corner at Special Spot where I led Opening Ceremonies (5.9) - an excellent, multi-featured mixed route. The highlight was "swimming" up a kayak-shaped pod - all toe-jams but no hands - don't get that in a gym. :)

Pic's to come...
