Rock Climb: Leavenworth - Bathtub Dome

Went climbing in the Icicle with Mike - original plan was to do some laps on Castle Rock, but when we arrived we were informed there were 18 Mountaineers up on Loggers Ledge doing a class, so we decided to find someplace a bit less crowded. We headed up to Bathtub Dome and climbed New Fixtures (5.7) and Toilet Trouble (5.6) - an enjoyable three pitch trad climb. I'd never done TT before - it had some neat moves though the abundance of black lichen meant it doesn't get climbed much - made for some adventurous climbing!

We finished the day on a bolted slab route just up the hill from BT Dome. The guidebook rated it at 5.8 but that had to be mistake because from the third bolt up it was solid 5.10a/b. Still, it was an excellent route - a strenuous way to end the day though.
